Jatunhuma (6093m) from Campa pass

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Jatunhuma (6093m) from Campa pass
... to the southwest.

In Quechua, "hatun" or "jatun" means big, and "uma" means mountain top. I would say that Jatunhuma fits nicely.

This is the westernmost and highest of the group of three summits in the Cordillera Vilcanota that are also known in Quechua by the name of Kimsa Krus - not to be confused with the Cordillera Quimza Cruz in Bolivia.

6 June 2011.
