Re: An intense atmosphere!

You are exactly right. The overnight temps were in the low 30s F in Wyoming, but day time was still a little warm. Time for another trip to the Sierras to see the fall colors in their absolute majesty.

Thank you very much, e ciao Silvia.

Re: Another

Yes, this is a new click from my latest trip. Unfortunately, we could not do much hiking and climbing, but did a lot of sight-seeing.
Muchas Gracias amigo Paulo,
Marc

Outstanding ..

I was just wondering if you had asked Jenny's
permission before visiting her lake.

In this case, Jenny is a genuine gem. (Try saying that fast ..)

Great photograph, Marc! - Larry

Re: Outstanding ..

Thank you very much for the kind words about my photography, Larry. No, I didn't get permission from Jenny to visit her lake because she has been dead a long time now. May be I should ask my wife to give me what she knows about Jenny so I can include it in the caption.

Re: Outstanding ..

Yes, I would love to know more about Jenny.

Was she a mountaineer ?

Re: Outstanding ..

No, she was not a mountaineer. Jenny was the Shoshone wife of an early guide and mountain man Beaver Dick Leigh. She died of smallpox in 1876 along with her children.

Re: Outstanding ..

Well, glad to see a lake named in her remembrance.

Are there still beaver in that area ?

Re: Outstanding ..

Not sure Larry. But, I would not be surprised if they thrive in that area, even to this day.
