Great Panorama up top, but the best was the steep hour-glass section on the way up.

Date Climbed: May 14, 2011

One of two couloirs on our 4Peak tour. This gulley is about 35 at it steepest but it was a really fun climb even though we had high winds and graupel beating the hell out of us. Climbed Dollar Couloir and traversed the Charlton's to climb this gulley on Jepson then tagged San G. Long beautiful day!

Decided to take a look at the gullies after hauling the skis up the big draw. Not quite what I was looking for. Ended up dropping down the west side of San G's north slope. What a run!

Oh, and what's up with that summit register? No lid on the box since 2008?

I had to get to the top of Jepson I remember because it was over 11,000 feet which is a big deal in Southern California. What a fun side hike to do after summited the big one, San G

I had passed by it a couple of times on the way to or from San Gorgonio. This time, along with my friend, Chris, I made the short scramble as a part of our six peak loop day-trip.

Hiked up Jepson Peak while traversing around it toward San Gorgonio. It was very windy on the ridge. I can see why some people hike the ridge traverse in a day. It is probably much easier to do while carrying a day pack instead of a heavy backpack.
