Jeremy nearing the summit ....

Jeremy (my son in law) nearing the summit . The metal hut is just behind me as I took this pic, looking south. July 9th, 2000. Part of the Timp glacier is just barely visible to the left. Canon S-100 Jeremy and I did two trips up Timp, one where we had to stop at Emerald Lake when the weather suddenly turned on us and on the trip where this pic was taken, we backpacked up and slept in the meadows at 10,000 feet. I've also done a couple neat trips into the Enchantments with Jeremy and he is an avid hiker and mountain biker. Now he is into running marathons so he never ceases to amaze me.

Summer is all

just a state of mind. The arrival
of summer comes at a different time
in every state. In the southern
states, it usually comes a bit
sooner than the northern ones.
