Thanks. Your picture of that notice was important. Thanks for photographing it.

More "natural scene" pictures would be nice.

Pretty cool. Did you have to stare down an NRA landowner with a shotgun?

Appears that there's a fairly nice forest clothing the summit.

Dan, excellent page. Nice work! I have 1 correction on your comment that Jerimoth Hill is the most restrictive high point with regards to access. Charles Mound in IL is only accessible 4 days per year... :-(

True, but the Rhode Island high point is especially hostile to visitors. Despite Illinios being open very infrequently, that may change. Unlike Rhode Island which has invariably hostile ownership.

Good page, it's good to see that access is not as restricted anymore. That'll make it easier for all of us now.

Other hiking

I love the "Other hiking" section with the nearby highpoints. That is very helpful, I might add something like that to some of my pages. Great work!

Access from 8AM to 6PM

I visited Jerimoth Hill on 11/18/12 without any problems. The sign at the beginning of the trail says it is open 8AM to 6PM every day. I will try to post the photo elsewhere on this site.

A 2018 Highpointer update

I hiked this with my boys in September, 2018. It was not much of a hike, but rather a quick 0.4 mile round trip walk in the woods. The only reason I can think someone would make this hike is because like me, they are trying to hike to the highest points in each state. Our easy high point hike (State Highpoint #2) is detailed here:
