| After the Hohe Riffl, we traversed the Johannisberg. We ascended the NW ridge, then descended over the glacier to the east, keeping the rocky ridge to our left. There were lots of big crevasses to the south east, and also a couple on our path. Had to poke carefully to find a safe snow bridge across one of them. | |

| Johannisberg is part of a perfect traverse on the high glacier mountains of Großglockner group: coming from Oberwalder Hütte we climbed Johannisberg via normal route and traversed to Hohe Riffl, Ödenwinkl and down to Rudolfhütte. | |
