Joshua Tree's Prettiest Woman

Joshua Tree's Prettiest Woman

The name of this formation is "The Old Woman", but as you can see it's the prettiest woman around. It has many moderate and classic routes. My very first lead in Joshua Tree was a popular climb called "Double Cross, 5.7."

nice

Nice pic as always Marc! I was wondering what the scale of the picture is: how high is this rock?

Re: nice

The actual climbing part is about 80-90 feet. But you scramble a little more to get to the top.
Thanks for the compliment,
Marc

Pretty Old Woman

The older I get the more clearly I see (though my eyes are actually getting poorer and poorer) that the old can be pretty as well. You've just provided conclusive evidence, Marc.
Cheers,
Jacek

Re: Pretty Old Woman

Thank you Jacek. Your comment reminds me of Elton John's song Daniel, where he says,
"Daniel my brother, you're blind, but you see more than I." It doesn't really take any eye-sight to see clearly. And, that's my comment.
cheers to you,
Marc
