A towered buttress of rock left of a dark notch just left of center is the location of a traverse on the 3rd Class South Ridge route. The east face (seen here) is traversed into the shadow of the notch, where the climb continues up the ridge, briefly behind the notch and then onto the ridge line proper, seen in this picture.

Nader-thanks fo posting. This pic has been here a while and it was useful for the links in the 3rd Class route description of the South Ridge.
