Re: Great combo...Thanks Josh! A lot of credit goes of course to the nice girls at the hut that took the photo, since I obviously didn't take it myself as I'm flying in the air over there. They executed it with perfect timing and framing! We had some great fun over there, swapping places and trying all sorts of stupid poses :-)

mummy jumpsorry if this seems too "me too"...

But you can get decent "jump shots" with a camera self-timer-- this is a self-portrait. Mt Charleston NV in background.
I find these things easier to coordinate if I'm using a timer with a flashing light, fast flashing for last 2 s. My right leg is partly paralyzed, so only I know when I'm ready. Obviously, the timer doesn't work if you have to run 30m to a rock, and have to coordinate 3 people... and, I may take 5 shots before one looks decent; I never catch myself at peak height.

Re: mummy jumpDon't be sorry! That's a cool shot, very impressive for self timing! You got quite a bit of altitude there :-) Next time, try landing it on top of the mountain in the background ..!
Cheers,
Rick

Re: jumping mt cook? Don't know why you missed it.. Snow conditions? Anyway, a little overview of the situation:
The red arrow indicates the 'jumping rock', the blue arrow points towards the toilet (outside of picture). Sefton in the background.
Cheers!
