June 4th, 2005 - The route up...
June 4th, 2005 - The route up the north side of Hera, the highest of the Mt Olympus summits. If you take the snow chute, it is class 3, and the rock may be entirely covered in winter. You can also ascend or descend the fractured face, which is steeper (cl. 3-4), but has many ledges. Route-finding up or down is harder on the fractured face as well.

"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."   --Jack London
