Voted 10/10 | I have seen a ton of Delicate Arch photos...normally I would be bored to death to see another...but....you have taken the most artistic Delicate Arch angle I have ever seen...and that would include a ton of so called professional photographers...I for one love this piece...good work. Cheers. | | Posted Feb 13, 2009 11:42 am |

Hasn't voted | Dow,
I am speechless by your compliment. Thank you so much.
I wish I could still climb like you, and could take some of the most spectacular climbing shots like you have. The sad thing is that for thousands of routes I have climbed I have nothing to show and share. So, I guess I put all my talent into taking unusual photos.
Happy climbing Dow,

Voted 10/10 | well my friend, that is why you can imagine I force myself to carry a camera and stop once in awhile...I was the same way during some fantastic early climbing I had in my life...then I got injured and realized there was not a whole lot to look back to to prop up my memories...thus me becoming slightly anal about capturing my experiences with write ups and photos...now I plan on a weekly slide show at the old folks home! Something to put my comrades to sleep at night. | | Posted Feb 13, 2009 12:07 pm |

Hasn't voted | hahaha... putting your friends to sleep??? I don't think so you two. I look at both of your action shots on the computer screen and run to my chin up bar only to find out that my right should pops out of socket easily. But, I hold my breath and manage a few anyway. Then, I come back to the monitor again. Falling asleep?? LOL.. What a joke!! | | Posted Feb 13, 2009 12:34 pm |

Voted 10/10 | this & your arch shadow shots stand out from most of the dime-a-dozen arch riff-raff (sp?) here on sp. Great one Marc. | | Posted Feb 13, 2009 12:15 pm |

Hasn't voted | I think I am the luckiest man alive to have a wife who loves getting up 4 a.m. and hike up icy slopes in the dark for her husband to capture a few unusual photos.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Happy climbing,

Voted 10/10 | you have taken another excellent shot of the arch. Really fantastic photo. Thanks for sharing!

Hasn't voted | Thank you so much Afzal. We don't have those huge Himalayan mountains here in the US, but we have a vast and varied landscape that offers a lot. I am just trying to bring the best of what we have into focus.
All the best,

| Noondueler | Pretty cool Marc! | |
Voted 10/10 | I guess it's early morn. The first light on the snowy high desert terrain over against the glowing arch really makes it for me. | | Posted Feb 13, 2009 4:02 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thank you Noondueler. Yes, it is the first sun on Delicate Arch. I took it the same morning as my other shadow photo.
It was very cold, 8F, but I was so excited and ran around for the best vantage points, I ended up taking off my jacket.
Crazy me, I must have taken 50 photos. Lots or repeats, not to worry, I will not post them all. I chose this shot out of a grouping of 8.
Thanks for the visit,

Voted 10/10 | vote #30. I was feeling a bit "under the
weather" today, and the humorous exchanges on
this photo brought a smile to my face.
Delicate Arch looked nothing like this when
I visited several years ago. Thanks for
sharing this brilliant moment in time with us!

Hasn't voted | Well, I had received 11 out of ten before but never a 30!!!! Do you think SP will send me a check at the end of the month now?
Hope you feel better soon, and thanks for the visit Larry.
