K2 ?

K2 ?

I had been told that K2 is visible from the Stok Kangri Summit. I didn't try spotting it. But, in the comfort zone of an airplane seat, I shot this picture, and wondered if this was K2, or is it the one in the next picture? Experienced SP members can help me out with this.

k2?

Nope, this is Nun and Kun in Jammu and Kashmir. I guess you clicked this from Leh to Delhi flight. I clicked the same view. Instead, if you had looked a little more to the left and strained your eyes, could have seen nanga parbat. K2 is not visible from here, if it is an extremely clear day, you might see it from air close to Leh landing or after take off if your flight is well above the mountains approx. 6500 meters, since the Ladakh and Saser muztagh ranges are tall and block the views. K2 is beyond these after Saltoro muztagh and the Gasherbrums. Hope it helped
