Kangchenjunga North face first ascent route
The north face of Kangchenjunga showing the route taken by Doug Scott, Peter Boardman, and Joe Tasker in 1979.The route is marked per the drawing in Boardman's book Sacred Summits.
This third ascent of the peak was one of the turning points in large Himalayan siege style expeditions.

These are my favorite type of pictures on SP. Actually seeing the route and the camps make it so much more real. Kudos

Thanks very much. I must confess that I have no personal knowledge of this route, and it is not on my tick list!

However, this is an old SP v1 upload, so one thing I'll do "one of these days", is to rescan it and post a much better image.

My team and i are working on putting together a trip plan to attempt this peak within the next few years. Do you know of anyone who has it on their list or has already summited it?
