| The north side of the ridge had snow so we were forced to climb on the more exposed side. It gave the route some real pucker power near the top. | |

| I forget the exact date. I went solo and remember interesting and somewhat exposed mixed climbing followed by a 1300-foot glissade from the saddle. | |

| Climbed Kelso ridge froms Stevens Gulch and then over to Grays. Returned to Kelso ridge from Grizzly Gulch hiking in from I-70 and also getting Grays on 7-15-06. Another climb from Stevens with Grays on 8-4-07. | |

| Took a long awaited trip up Kelso ridge - the knife edge section and the exit onto the white rock was definitely the highlight of the climb. Watch for loose rock down low on the route, I set loose a rock the size of a microwave that looked well anchored. | |

| This was my second successful trip on Kelso Ridge. The first was about a year ago. Both trips were fantastic, with incredible views, great exposure, and great hiking conditions. The weather was perfect yesterday -- temps in the 60's and a slight breeze. We saw very little snow, none on the trail. This is my favorite hike/route in Colorado. | |

| This was an absolute blast! More of a scramble than a climb but I will definately return to do it again! Highly recommended. Continued onto Gray's, traversed over to Mt. Edwards and descended a nasty scree gully off of McClellan Mountian almost directly to the Steven's Gulch TH. | |

| Kelso was a lot easier than I expected. Don't let the horror stories of the knife edge scare you. It's a pussy cat! Climbed Kelso Ridge to Torreys summit with partner. Trail ran back down to the valley and ascended Kelso Mountains Wesr Ridge solo. RT: 5 hours. | |
