| Beautiful mountain when it's comtemplated from the valley and from the route of Goldrieg. We climbed beggining in the cable way of Goldrieg after the climb of Blauspitze in the route to Sudetend. Hütte. Before the col of Durrenfeld we left the route of hut and we walked to the summit of this peak. Superb views. The access of the summit is a nice ridge with some metallic ropes, very elegant. The next day we climbed Mountanitz before the descent to Matrei. | |

| From Kals up the cable car and to the summit and back in about 5 hours. Fog and rain, almost turned back, but it cleared up and the summit provided excellent views of the area, including Grossglockner. | |

| We decided to reach Muntanitz and Kendlspitze. We parked our car by the Felbertauernstrasse road at "Landecksäge" (ca. 1400 m) in valley Taurental. We started ascending on Dr. Karl Jirsh Weg to the Sudetendeutsche Hut, 2650m. We had a lot of rain on the route and we had to to take shelter on Kessler alm. But then the weather became better and we successfully came to the Sudetendeutsche Hut. I climbed to the Kendlspitze the same day..and I was watching very nice sunset. Next day we ascended to the Muntanitz over Karl Schoettner-Weg. We was watching very nice sunrise. From the top we ascended there where we came from. Nice trip! | |

| a great roundtrip on the Sudetendeutsche Hoehenweg trail with Kendlspitze in addition. the climb itself from Duerrenfeldscharte is not so nice because of very much loose scree. Some easy rocks are only on the final meters on the ridge. | |
