Kentucky Maples

Kentucky Maples

Fall maples near a cave entrance on the trail to Sal Hallow, Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky. Whatever the color, all these trees are maples. Early November, 2008.

Re: Really nice composition

Thanks!

I tend to take a lot of "looking up" pictures -- here in the Midwest, there aren't so many hills that allow the conventional landscape shots.

Necessity is the mother of invention. :)

Arthur ...

I always thought Mother was the invention of
necessity.

I do a lot of "looking up" pictures too,
because Arizona's mountains don't always cut
the mustard when you compare them to the Alps.
