Kilt lovin
I know that a lot of people are not into the whole kilt thing, i've had "friends" that would'nt go on hikes with me because i wear one, but let me tell you that hiking in the Mountain Hardwear kilt with long undies is the shit. However take a pair of shell pants because they don't allow you to wear a harness.

:))) I laughed at all you wrote here. :)
Everyone has his/her own cranck. For example; on the trial of Matterhorn we packed an immaculate suit and a bottle of good hungarian wine in. Our plan was to use them on the mountaintop and behave ourselves like real gentlemen, even above 4000. :)
Since that august of 2006 was blessed with the worst weather we had to adjourn the noble act over for forthcoming years. :)

Anyway, I think you wear the kilt much seriously than we would wear the suit on the summit. ;)

Good Luck!

I think humor in the backcountry is a must, it makes the trip better and if things get tough or it's tent city, it's good to have fun. This year i took a 3 day backpacking trip in the Olympic National Park with a bunch of old friends and we were dropping tents on each other, sticking rocks in each other packs and bear boxes. Yea it's good to keep things fun, thanks for your response Den and safe travels. Swain
