Kings Peak 13,525

Kings Peak,

we started are hike on wendsday morning, hiking 8 miles roughly to dollor lake were we set up camp for the week. the next morning we got a early stary and headed up to kings peak. we were in henry's fork so we went up gunsight pass, we thought about taking the slide but realized that would be more then we could handle for the day. so we keep are way on the trail, onec we got to gunsight we followed the trail down in to the basin losing a lot of gained elevation, we should have taken the mountain route the goes up from gunsight but we didnt know what the trail was like. but all in all we fallowed the trail to the top. the last mile is a tough climb its jumping from rock to rock no real trail is evident. but we made it to the top, there was no wind and it was a nice day to summit kings peak, 13525 o ya and on the way down dont take the slide just take the mountain route to gunsight much nicer and easier on your body
