| After two winter attempts, previously diverting to Katsenkopf in very deep snow and bad conditions, I made the Summit of Kramerspitze in the Spring - exact date now unknown. I recall the dear old lady who was often at the base of the mountain warning people not to ascend. So I assume the plaque on a rock wall about 1/3 of way up which depicts a boy who may have perished there, may have been a relative to her. During one late descent, she was still there at night patrolling, and I called for assistance for her. Whence help arrived, yet she protested to leave. It may be a sad story indeed. Though I thank her for making me more cautious. | |

| The warm weather made it possible to hike in t-shirts, tennies and shorts. We didn't expect the St Martin trail to be so long and steep. We were really sweating out the crossing of the scree/snow field near the top without trekking poles. Decided to go back down via Stepberg Alm and enjoy a few beers. Beautiful hike well worth investing most of a day... | |

| the 13th time I climbed Kramerspitz and it still is always worth the trip; this time much snow on the ridges and not many people around - great views and a good Weißbier at Sankt Martin hut .. | |

| I changed my target several times that day during may jurney towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Unfortunately my train was late so I missed the next train to Reutte and I decided to ascent Kramerspitze which waited so long for me to ascend it. Splendid trail to the top with beautiful views all over the place :) | |

| I'd been wanting to hike up to the summit of the Kramerspitz ever since my first visit to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in November 2004. That was just a few weeks after I "discovered" mountains for the first time. Well, on the most beautiful of Autumn days I did the hike on October 17th, just under two years later. | |
