It'd be really interestingto compare the summertime (average) temperature
of this lake to that of Lake Tahoe in northern
Nevada.
What's the name of the cone-shaped peak in the background ???
I remember swimming in Lake Wenatchee, and
I always thought that one was cold !!!

Re: It'd be really interestingI have no idea about the temps or the peak name since we got little time at the lake before hustling off to raft on the Salmon River.
But you are so right about never forgetting those cold swims! As much as I love rafting and rivers I am not fond of lake swimming!!!

Re: It'd be really interestingHmmm, I grew up in Coeur d'Alene and of all the larger lakes in north Idaho, we always considered this one the warmest.

Re: It'd be really interestingwhich goes to prove, it's all what you are used to! There were little kids from the camp swimming in that lake while we were there but my Maryland blood was icing up!

Take care. I'll be down here, setting the controls for the heart of the sun !!
