Lamarayu

Lamarayu
A small town deep in Ladakh, the most remote corner of India. Lamarayu is dominated by a large, beautiful monastery. The town has as many Stupas as people. It is a place almost no westerners go. I was able to get there on my cross-country motorcycle tour of the Ladakh wilderness in 2006. One of the most magical places I have seen.
