| A very long day but what a trip! This was my "graduation climb" for the CMC Basic Mountaineering School. We departed camp at 4 AM to Chasm Lake. Lambslide was in reasonably good conditions, some postholing, a wetslide down the center - but solid towards the top. Topped out on the Loft to Clark's Arrow (actually found it this time), past the Palisades to the Homestretch. The Homestretch was all snow - sweet! Spent some time looking for the entrance to the old cables route and traversed the snow covered top to the 2nd bolt - from there rap down to the Boulderfield. 14 hours start to finish but loved it! |
