My most recent trip to Nome, Alaska, went pretty much like this song from Czech superstar Lucie Bila.
It was cold and wet most the time, but enjoyed watching the miners on West Beach shifting through pay-dirt, in search of a fortune that never comes easy.
Became surprised to find out they plan to "develop" Pilgrim Hot Springs,
(north of the Kigluaiks), as a geothermal "cheaper energy" site.
All in all, could have used more time stalking Sarah Palin, but she
probably had BIGGER fish to fry than those Silver salmon I caught ... ain't life a shame ?
And, no .... according to an esteemed journalist from The L.A. Times,"you can't see mainland Russia from Nome ..."
