| Three day excursion with Ezra Danciu and George Sakaldasis. Awesome full moons camped beside Lake Helen. Deep snow at higher elevations. Got sick on the summit but slowly but sure descended to camp with no problems. | |

| LVNP closed the entire mountain for the "Reach the Peak" project on all sides (they had the north side open before but they shut that down too). The trail was open to a point called "Grandview" which doesn't really live up to its name (seems like any other point on the trail) so went up to there. Rangers were watching from the parking lot (with binoculars) for violators. Saw a total of three other people on the trail. | |

| Nice mostly clear day, tons of snow still for July, Less than a dozen people on the trail. Followed the standard route up and took a more direct route down with the assistance of an ice axe | ||

| I enjoyed skiing Lassen when the parking lot at the south slopes opened up. I suppose we didn't actually summit (hence 'no success'), but climbed and skied 3 different aspects from ~100 from the summit. | |

| Great weather and a great climb to for my first mountaineering endeavor. Tons of snow helped. Only a few rocky outcroppings close to the summit for crampons to get snagged on, but could have been avoided. | |
