Leaving the summit

May is a great time to visit this area thanks to the green beauty we beheld in every direction. Most of the effort to get to this summit is involved in the driving. A long way to go for such a short hike. Of course, a person could make it more of a hike by parking down near the corral or the Ryegrass Reservoir and walking from there but I doubt that unless the roads are in bad shape, most would drive it as we did. Dennis starts to head back down after our fairly brief visit on this summit. We found no register or benchmark. 5-28-05
