| One more time! Probably my fourth ascent of Leavitt over the past 20 years; with a friend this time. We launched from the Sonora Pass trail head on the PCT. After a short distance we went off-trail, scrambling up the spine of the ridge. then followed the spine southbound until we met the PCT again. It's always a fabulous experience to Leavitt and back. This day was typically brilliant. We stayed on the PCT for the entire return. Cheers! | |

| We were the second party to summit in July of 2012. This is a popular peak for a reason, easy access off of an excellent section of the PCT from Sonora Pass. | |

| A nice quick hike with great views. Wind was so strong near the summit I almost turned back, but wound up getting there by walking in a crouch and sitting out the worst of the gusts. A new summit register had been placed just four days before by James Barlow and Heath Wilhoit of the SPS section. Thanks guys! | |

| Skinned up Blue Canyon then on to the north face of Leavitt. Cramponed up the couloir and met with high winds at the summit. Awesome ski descent down the couloir and then back to the car, although it gets a little flat in spots. The couloir is 40 degrees max at the top, and mostly 35 I'd say. | |

| We were camped about a mile east of Sonora Pass, providing an opportunity for extra elevation gain on the hike and some fun scrambling to reach the trail. This was my daughter's highest summit to date, just before her third birthday. Mom was NOT happy when we got back after dark. | |

| Did this peak as part of the acclimatization process for summitting Mount Whitney later that week. Very nice ridgewalk on PCT and great views from the top! About 5 hours there and back from Sonora Pass. | |

| I did this as a loop by heading north west from Leavitt Lake and climbing the east ridge past Latopie Lake. Came back down the long way, following the PCT all the way SW till the trail turns back toward Leavitt Lake. Very scenic hike and I didnt see another soul till I got back down to Leavitt Lake! | |
