Up east ridge, down south face Date Climbed: Jun 30, 2017
the summit is so large and flat, one must descend slightly to get the really expansive views (i.e., some foreground). Spend an hour on the summit soaking it in. I could see the snowy Wind River Mts far to the north.
trip with the Utah County Birders. Looking for white-tailed ptarmigan. Found a hen with 6 chicks and bagged the peak. Super cloudy and rainy morning. Lots of wind up on top. Luckily no lightning, just a nice area wide rain storm, not the usual micro-burst-afternoon-thunderstorm stuff you usually see.
