awesome fall day
Followed a mostly dry Railroad Creek, actually hiking in the bottom of the rocky drainage, up to Lena Lake. Took a chilly dip, then ascended on a fantastic game trail to the barren saddle north of Red Crow Mountain. Merely a steep hike to the summit of Red Crow from there. Fortunate to have amazingly calm conditions on top, a rarity for this area of the park! Descended directly east off Red Crow through mixed class II/III terrain to the trail well below Firebrand Pass.
