Cascade Scrambler

Every time I'm in the area, I swing by for this fun, quick hike. This time, I took some extended exposure shots of the various falls on Tumbling Run, including upper and lower Lewis Falls.

Cascade ScramblerIt's very different in winter  Sucess!

Cascade Scrambler

I followed a well beaten boot path to lower Lewis Falls. From there, I broke trail in ankle to calf deep snow up to upper Lewis Falls, and then onwards to Lewis Rocks. I had a great time in the solitude. I did bag the high point, which wasn't the greatest of ideas given the conditions. Weather was cold and very windy; gusts strong enough to knock me over. Winter pics forthcoming.

Buz GroshongBlueberries!

I've done this one a couple of times and found great bluberries along a trail at the bottom of it. Also found yellow jackets that had nested in the ground under the trail at the bottom on one occasion - ouch!

Cascade Scrambler

After feeling horrible the previous day, I came back to do some scrambling and bouldering. Had a thoroughly enjoyable time, helped in part by the fact I came back near sunrise while it was still cool. I really enjoyed the time I spent up there.

Cascade Scrambler

Came out with my brother in law T. 95 degrees, 85% humidity, and I was sick too. Other than being steam cooked, it was a great day with great views.
