Voted 10/10 | May I tell you both a cute story. I hope it's not offensive, especially to Eric, who is a musician. With my Jasmina (who is musician as well, as her whole family branch, including our three sons) we made an ascent on Watzmann. Some 2000 meters in one day, we came down tired, but wanted to go also to Salzburg (by bike). It was so pleasant to sit in the centre of the beautiful town, when a whole series of black mercedes cars drove by, bringing visitors in smokings and evening dresses to concerts. It was so tempting, but of course no option for us for that evening. We were just two smelling, sweatened hikers that evening. How big contrasts can be!

Voted 10/10 | Lieber Michael, danke für Dein Rückschreiben; ja, ich bin Musiker, und Ravel war stets und ist immer noch einer meiner Lieblingskomponisten. Auf den Gedanken, ihn als Pseudonym zu verwenden, kam ich ganz spontan - hob net lang überlegt.

Hasn't voted | Hi Eric, habe Deine Antwort jetzt erst gefunden, bin zur Zeit nicht oft in SP (die Zeit... ;-). Vielleicht sieht man sich ja mal in usneren schönen Bergen. Bin mir immer nicht ganz sicher, ob man in diesem Forum nicht das allen (zumindest einigermaßen ;-) verständliche Englisch beibehalten sollte, habe aber da schon meine Probleme... Sonst finde ich SP schon super.

Yes, definitely would be fine if we meet some time. Nobody knows when, but I trust it happens. For example, my hot wish is the ascent on Hochkoenig. Preferably with skis, if without, also fine. may be we can arrange that?

Voted 10/10 | Thanks a lot, dear Vid! :-) I've been on Hochkönig, that was in 1989 towards the end of September, and that was another one of these unforgettable experiences!! I started from the Arthurhaus at about four in the afternoon and went up the Schweizerweg, and by the time I reached the Übergossene Alm, the sun had started to set, and the whole glacier plateau was flooded in the sunset glow! It was such a dream!! And then the full moon that same night at the Eduard-Matras-Haus! The entire Hohe Tauern and the Berchtesgaden Alps illuminated by the moon - I needn't tell you what that was like!! I'd love to go back up there one day again - maybe we'll meet each other on top, at 2941m? :-) Many greetings to both you and Michael and merry Christmas,
