Limestone Mountain Traverse

We had to construct this trail through the loose rock and snow to reach the true summit. It took ice-ax and boot kicking for over an hour to get past this section. Below this slope is a vertical drop-off. The visible path through the snow is about 100 yards long.

This kind of stuff scares me

especially in the Lost Rivers.

This is why

the Lost Rivers intimidate me more than any other range in Idaho....those ubiquitous bands of sh!t rock are awful...
