Linn Cove Viaduct

The famous (and overrated) viaduct as seen from Rough Ridge. There are nice views from the viaduct, yes, but it is not even half a mile long and you cannot stop or walk along it. Yet, every information source about the Blue Ridge Parkway trumpets this engineering "marvel." Forgive me for not getting excited. Blue Ridge Parkway, NC-- March 2010
