| A nice climb through meadows and slabs up to some less than stellar scree near the top. Tamarack is an awesome lake with gorgeous golden trout cruising the shallows. An awesome infrequently visited peak. | ||

| Not as burly as Matthew's day, it took me two trips to get both Triple Divide and Lion Rock. Beautiful area, but so far from civilization. Trip Report | ||

| Matthew Holliman | SW Ridge (ascent) / South Slopes (descent) ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 28, 2006 | |
| Long--very long--dayhike of Lion Rock and Triple Divide Peak out of Crescent Meadow. Approached the peak from Tamarack Lake, and gained the southernmost west ridge when it looked preferable to the loose talus on the south slopes. The ridge was more solid, and had some enjoyable class 3 scrambling. Recommended. The NE Chute had a lot of snow, and didn't look doable without an axe/crampons, so I had to descend to the south and traverse around to Lion Pass to make my way over to Triple Divide. | ||

| Climbed from Tamarack Lake up to SW Ridge; fantastic views into Nine Lake Basin. Good air quality allowed a view of the Palisades way off in the distance. | ||
