This route is steep. Mostly class 3 with some class 4 and easy class 5 sprinkled in. This would be a very difficult downclimb. I would not recommend it as a descent path. I'm a fast hiker and this route took me nearly 4 hours due to the physical demands and the tricky route finding. Other than that, it's an absolutely stunning route.
Encountered a few drunken climbers/campers at Lisa Falls early Sunday morning. The route description on Summitpost was pretty good. I had a few minor detours but overall I was able to follow everything. I missed the ~5.7 crux or simply got through it without much difficult? Made it up to Broad Fork West Twin and then actually did the Cottonwood Traverse all the way to Monte Cristo/Mt Superior and descended to Cardiaff Pass/Alta. It was good starting at Lisa Falls because since I was solo I just rode my bike down Little Cottonwood Canyon to my car.
"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."
