Purpose
To bring together all the summitpost pages for California's fifty most prominent summits. The fifty peaks on the list have a minimum prominence of 2,900ft rise from its next higher neighbor. These peaks have unique geological and botanical makeups due to their isolation from surrounding lower peaks. California has one of the most diverse geologic makeups of any state, and it is deserving of a list that tries to represent all these various regions.The List
