Little Ararat

Little Ararat

Little Ararat (3896m) rising over Yerevan. Ararat at 5137m is to the right outside the picture - you can imagine it's giant size.

Unusual

Really interesting photo. I like it in B&W. But it's unsual and strange...isn't it? I can see beautifull mountain, then I look down and there is some factory...
It looks sad...
But very nice photo.

Re: Unusual

Hello!

Yes, it is strange indeed. The b/w increases on the one hand the impression of the peak's beauty, but also on the other hand the grey, dark character of the industry below.

Thank you!

Re: At least...

Hi!

Thanks for the kind compliment. Yes, I took this myself in April 2005 during an impression-rich journey through Armenia that caused a deep fascination for the Caucasus.

All the best,
Peter

Re: At least...

Thanks again!
Personally I like that one a lot too. But one has to look closer at the photo to discover all the little details in it - the power stations, roads, industy, the clouds the slopes of the mountain and the slope of Great Aragats rising to the right.
