Came out to do this one as a 2fer with Haystack, then realized it was a hill I had already scrambled up several years earlier - first time I've done something like that.

EastKingNew route to the summit  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Nov 22, 2015

Walked the now closed Forest Road 62 to the new logging road which leads right to the base of the summit scramble. There is a great north ledge which has great views north just a couple hundred yards from the summit.

ScrambledLeggsFirst Summit Ever?  Sucess!

Also having been a resident of Gold Bar, this was one of my first scrambles ever. I remember being amazed with the views of the Skykomish River "snaking" through the valley. Very cool that you created this page, Redwic :)

Cascade Scrambler

Once the gated road levels out after rising (after a dip), head south until you find an *ancient* road system on the north side of the hill. This road can be followed up to the base of the cliffs. It's actually easier to ascend the east face of the cliff- there is one obvious gully that's really pretty easy. Fourth of four summits of the day.

RedwicI Cannot Believe I Returned!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jan 2, 2012

After summiting Blue Mountain near Spada Lake, I went back towards my childhood stomping grounds to visit some family members. I took a side-trip back to TOC Rock, as another SP member got me to wonder if I had been to the true summit the first time I was there. I am fairly certain I did, but this time I know I did. Thanks to EW for his insight.

RedwicBushwhacker!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 20, 2010

The bushwhacking actually was not as bad as I had predicted beforehand. I had a little extra time while in the area, so I decided to finally visit this peak after many years of looking at it from my childhood city (Gold Bar). This peak might be small, but there are some gnarly cliffs on some parts of it!
