A great little hike, lots of wind. The day I climbed there were rain clouds miles and miles away but the wind blew it all the way to the peak. Creating sunny day rain.
My climbing buddy and me picked the perfect day for a winter hike of Little Jackson. Not a cloud in the sky, and it was 40 degrees on the trail up to the open summit, where it was a little colder and windier. Outstanding views in every direction from Bigelow to Mt. Washington.
A nice walk through the woods on a cool August morning. Above treeline felt more like late October... COLD and WIND! Lots of fun... I was shocked at how expansive the alpine zone is up there. Blueberries everywhere.
