Lochan Buidhe

Lochan Buidhe is the source for the Feith Buidhe. This is the site where six teenage children died in November 1971 during a blizzard on the plateau. They were part of a school party that were on an outward bound course. Getting lost in a white out, they and their teacher couldn't find the Curran bothy (since demolished)they were heading for to spend the night They were forced to bivouac unprepared and ill equipped in the blizzard.
