The Connecting Ridge to Sweeney  Sucess!

14aug10 - Hit this summit again before following the connecting ridge to Sweeney Peak. The ridge is no cake walk, but it's a great climb for anyone willing to put out the effort.

26jun09 - can't remember how many times I've climbed this peak - funny that I never signed the Climbers' Log.

This time there was plenty of snow which forced Class 3 climbing on the exposed rock on Lolo-North's east ridge. To make things more interesting I climbed Point 8694 on the way to both Lolo summits.

Independence Day  Sucess!

Topped out on Lolo before heading south and completing the ridge traverse to Sweeney Peak. Still enough snow for some skiers to be out.

East Ridge  Sucess!

A popular Missoula area peak and this day was no exception with many out on the mountain.

August 29, 2004. A second outing where I went up Peak 8694 and then straight up Lolo's north face. A nice variation from the standard route.
