Lomnicky from Poprad

Village Stary Smokovec (1010 m) in the picture is the starting point of most mountaineering activities nearby. Lomnicky stit (2633 m) with shadowy, legendary west wall towers above valley Skalnata dolina (south valley) and valley Mala studena dolina (west valley). To the right of Lomnicky stit there are Vidlove veze (Forky towers) and Kezmarsky stit, smaller Huncovsky stit and the furthermost little Velka Svistovka. To the left of Lomnicky stit Pysny stit and Baranie rohy with summit plateau. Nearby towers Prostredny hrot with its Maly hrot with vertical plates, behind and to the left of it Ladovy stit and Maly Ladovy stit and part of Siroka veza. Slope to the left leads to the summit of Slavkovsky stit. View from south-southwest.
