Shedhorn Skimo Race  Sucess!

Super fun race that lets you see Lone Peak in a whole new way. The course hit the summit 2 times - once via the Alta Ridge and another time from SW ridge. Both Ascents are awesome.

Climbed this as part of The Rut 28k. Awesome race with 7800ft of vert in 17 miles! Beautiful area despite the ski development.

Lone Peak Summit  Sucess!

Amazing Hike! We started just outside the Summit Hotel at Moose Track trail head and headed up towards the peak. Reached the top of the Swift Current Lift about an hour in, then headed up Bone Crusher. In total, it took us around 3.5 hrs to complete the whole hike, including a 30 minute lunch break before Bone Crusher.

Being relatively new to climbing, I was curious, does anyone know what class of "climbing" Lone Peak would be considered? My guess would be 2/3, especially around the ridge and prior to the summit on the shale. I would love to do more summits like this, but don't think I'm ready for anything that would require equipment at this point.

Solo summit  Sucess!

After having my X'th climbing partners of the season bail on me, had to pick a pretty populated route after getting turned around trying to find another trailhead (for safety's sake and not truly going 'solo')as I continue my altitude conditioning for Rainier . Mountain mall to the summit in 2.5hrs, back in a little over 1. Beautiful weather but local fires burning stifled the views

SE Ridge  Sucess!

Had a group of nine of us, started form the base, and climbed up through Bone Crusher onto the SE ridge. Found some new snow on the final push up Marx. Everbody made to the top where celebratory beers were cracked!

Route Climbed: SE Ridge  Sucess!

I climber Lone Peak via the south east ridge this summer while I was working at the resort. Have summited it in past years via the tram, but I decided I needed to say that I've actually climbed it, so I did. The views from the summit area are epic.

SW Ridge  Sucess!

Great hike/climb up through the forrest. Had a family of bears trailing me by a few hundred yards in the early am. Thankfully they got bored! Great ridge climb and the lift made for a nice lunch seat!

Got to love that tram ride up! But have hiked the lower areas, and played the frisbee golf course in the summer(not sure if its still there). The powder off the south face can at times be pure bliss, or ridden out and just moguls...Wait for powder days! The views from the top are absolutly Spectacular!

A relaxing hour on top watching the sights and sounds. The Sphinx is one impressive looking mountain. Hey Brian and Molly, you're the first two I've ever seen summit a mountain in flip flops.

The summit of Lone Peak is a skier's paradise on powder days. It is one of my favorite places to be when the snow is falling. I spend a lot of time skiing off of that thing with some very wonderful friends.
