Lone Peak Cirque from the summit.

This photo shows the low snow conditions this year. Last year, with a nice record snowpack up there, things looked very different. The crux of the route to Lone Peak from the north ridge has a small amount of snow, perhaps 5 feet in length this time. Last year it was completely covered and corniced heavily, making things treacherous. Looking west from the summit of Lone Peak down at the Cirque area and the Salt Lake Valley. 6-9-2012.
