| Attempted the North Ridge of LPP. Attempted the climb from Whitney Portal road to Meysan Lakes Trail after being advised to do so by a local. Wandered and thrashed in the drainage (we started at 1am), thrashed some more, and gave up. Blessing in disguise as winds upward of 70 mph were present on the ridge...definitely will be back for that one! | |

| I camped for several nights at Meysan Lake and did this on my second day of climbing from there. I used the NW Chute and stayed on the rock as much as possible trying to avoid scree. I tried to tag the unnamed point to the west, but failed when I cliffed out. I love this peak. The views are great and its a fantastic summit to sit on and soak in the area. | |

| Dayhike. Jason hiked up with me to Grass lake to fish while I went solo up the slope and to the summit. Staying left on the way up keeps you out of the loose stuff. Coming down was a fun "ski". | |
