Thanks for adding Lone Rock to the DB! This really brings back memories. My wife and I back early in our marriage in 2003 climbed to the top of Lone Rock. Never seen so many ticks in our life. I would suggest climbing this one late in the summer or perhaps during Autumn. We have a picture of my wife crawling on her hands and knees out to that exposed rock (that was in one of your pics). I still can't believe we did that because, as you said, the exposure is pretty extreme. I guess we were just young and even more adventurous 10 years ago. We've also climbed nearby Quincy Bluff and the Roche-a-cri mound nearby. All have great views!!
Thanks BadgerSummitSeeker. I found out about Lone Rock by accident - I am surprised it is not more well known. But perhaps the ticks have something to do with that. Next time I will try that last exposed ledge!
