Hervoragend!Das ist ja ein sehr schoenes Bild! Ein mal frei! Wie schwer ist das denn der Zugspitze im Winter zu klettern? Hab es no nit gemacht. Awesome shot!

Re: Hervoragend!Hiking Zugspitze in winter is very difficult! The normal route (in summer) through Hoellental-Valley and Hoellental-glacier is strictly closed to extreme high risk of avalanches. Other routes are also difficult, depending on the conditions.
We try to make the 3.5 Miles ridge between Zugspitze an Alpspitze. This is one of the most beautiful alpine climbs (8 - 12 hours) in the German Alps south of Munich. In winter, it could be a dangerous expedition. After weeks with good weather and not much snow, we start - after a night with fresh snow - at Zugspitze summit (access with cable car) to make the ridge in 2 days with a night in a shelter box on the ridge. We fight about 4 hours in this conditions but have no chance to reach the emergeny hut (shelter) after 2 miles on the ridge. We decide to return, to avoid a snow bivouac.
