This black and white shot was taken on the approach to the Spearhead. It is also where the image on the back of the colorado quarter was taken from.

I thought the quarter was an adaptation of the Maroon Bells. I could be wrong. I prefer the Long's Peak theory myself. Great shot.

	Hasn't voted	Ive held the quarter up at that spot and it looked right on to me. But, Itll be interesting to see if im mistaken-wouldn't be the first time! climb on.

The black and white is just amazing. Really gives the image a feeling of power. That is my most favorite place on Earth.

	Hasn't voted	I have like 10 black and whites from rocky mountain national, and they were posted. but i took them down because sadly summit post members seem to find the highest scores with color pics. good to know there are some people with an artistic imagination-rock on.
