My first and still favorite 14er. Longs has it all. Six ascents by four different routes so far.

first 14er
This was the first 14er I climbed in 1998 when I was in scouts! my latest climb was in 2009. I can't recommend it highly enough

Loft in the rain
Climbed the Loft route in wet, windy, foggy conditions. Successfully summitted but I eventually got chased off by a thunderstorm.

Rocky Mountain High
My fifth Colorado 14'er. Climbed via the Keyhole Route. A true "Rocky Mountain High" experience. Five hours later (after summiting) back at the rented cabin in Estes Park, I grabbed a couple of chilled Busch beers and "headed for the mountains" once again.
First Colorado 14er! Started at 2AM with no sleep, watched sunrise from Keyhole, on summit by 730, back at car in afternoon. Incredible views and fun diversity in scrambling.

Through the keyholeone of the best, if not the best, colorado 14ers. Keyhole route is a blast to climb, fun class three scrambling. Wouldn't mind climbing the peak again

North FaceVery cold and windy day, but still a highly enjoyable climb up this magnificent mountain. I only wish the technical bit was longer.
