It's very easy to get to (and for that reason not necessarily under-populated, especially on the beautiful summer days) - you take the public electro-boat from Königssee all the way to Salet at the southern tip, then it's a ten minute flat walk (The Obersee is on the same altitude as the Königssee).
For me, the Königssee-Obersee area is one of the most beautiful and spectacular ones in the entire Alps, and as I live so near, I keep going there - and posting pictures on SP afterwards! :D

Weren't we just talking about...gorgeous photos? Now, this is one gorgeous photo. I can imagine myself floating on this beautiful lake and mountain view listening to one of your piano concertos on my headset. Now, heaven's got nothing on this earthly place.
