Looking back down from midway... | [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ] |
Looking back down from midway up P3 of Moby Dick on Whale Dome. Terrain visible below is about 5.6. Shirley's helmet is visible below. In the foreground is a slung "chickenhead". This is a very typical (from what I've read) protection method on Dragoon routes. In fact, there's a route on another formation that has earned the nickname of "chickenhead highway" (What's My Line 5.6 A0). Photo taken on January 1, 2004. | Klenke | See all those beige-colored spots?... | |
Voted 10/10 | ...those are sections of rock that used to have chickenheads like that you've slung here. Everytime someone falls on one of them it shears off and creates the beige spot. Phew! You're lucky. You coulda died or been seriously maimed like all the rest. | | Posted Jan 7, 2005 8:08 pm |
